Culver City Presbyterian Youth Group - April 2008

Sunday, April 6th- In the words of Bob Dylan, “It may be the devil and it may be the Lord but you’re gonna have to serve somebody”. Who is this Jesus we claim to serve? How can I serve someone I barely know? Come to youth group as we begin our study, “Who is Jesus”, starting with “Jesus the teacher”. We’ll meet from 6-8 in the Upper room and there will be snacks!

Saturday, April 19th- Yard Sale fundraiser!!! We’ll need all of you to come out and help us raise funds for our youth program. We’ll also be giving 10% to Kalkidan Setatow, our Compassion child. We’ll meet at 8AM (yeah, it’s early) and will stop selling around 3 PM. Bring any items you’d like to sell to the church by Sunday , April 6th. Lunch will be served. Be there and bring a friend!

Sunday, April 20th – We’ll meet in the Upper room from 6-8PM for the next lesson in our series “Who is Jesus: the healer”. You won’t want to miss it! There will also be a surprise dessert!

Coming Up- Our May meeting dates are on the 4th and 25th.

We’ll be going to Six Flags on the 24th!

 

Summer camp is coming up! – We’ll be going to Rock-N-Water June 29th- July 5th. The cost is $379 which includes a week of fun and meals. We’ll be whitewater rafting, rock climbing, bouldering and having a great time learning about God together. I’ll need a $50 deposit by May 25th if you’d like to go. Prayer Partners! – Each student has been assigned a prayer partner. This person will be praying for you throughout 2008. Please let them know if you would like prayers for anything in particular. “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.” John 15:7
