For a number of years, an amazing selection of lap robes and bedside totes to be distributed to patients in the hospital were created by Louise Smith. Although Louise has passed on, her example has inspired a number of our members to carry on the creation of lap robes.

The crocheted lap robes are all made from various yarns left over from other projects.

The bedside tote bags, using 40 yards of material, are designed for children to store their books and crayons in, by draping the bag over the hospital bed railing. Each one is unique and is signed with the word “Love.” These gifts will bring comfort and joy to those who need it most. This is truly a project of ingenuity, care and love.
