On October 8th 2006, an amazing selection of
lap robes and bedside totes to be distributed to patients in the hospital was
presented in the Social Hall . These were created by Louise Smith,
and she wishes to than all of those who gathered together the
materials.
The crocheted lap robes are all made from various yarns left
over from other projects.

The bedside
tote bags, using 40 yards of material, are designed for children to store
their books and crayons in, by draping the bag over the hospital bed
railing. Each one is unique and is signed with the word “Love.” These
gifts will bring comfort and joy to those who need it most. This is truly
a project of ingenuity, care and love.
