From the Pastor

Dear Church,

“I always give thanks to God when I pray for you.” (Colossians 1:3)

I truly do give thanks for each one of you when I pray. And, I’m praying a lot these days. It’s not easy being isolated and disconnected, but we are here for each other in ever-changing ways in these days. I hope that you all are well and taking care of yourselves.

With everything changing so quickly, we are living with higher than average amounts of stress and anxiety. If you notice that in yourself, know you are not alone. Prayer and meditation are great ways to rise out of anxiety. Also, reaching out to a friend or making a list of things we are grateful for are known techniques for spiritual grounding.

These are uncharted waters for many of us. If your usual strategies for your emotional and spiritual health do not seem sufficient, there are deeper wells we can draw from in this time. Know you are not alone, and we are all trying new things together.
